With over 23 years of experience as a psychiatrist, Dr. Kimberly Quigley has dedicated her career to creating and implementing transformative behavioral health systems for hard-to-reach and underserved populations. As the CEO of Onrise, she brings her deep love for sports and commitment to mental wellness to athletes, supporting them in navigating both the demands of their sport and their lives in a balanced, healthy way. Dr. Quigley is a proud mother of three, including a college athlete, and her passion for athlete mental health is matched only by her belief that every individual deserves comprehensive, compassionate care.
Carlos S. Montoya is the Chief Operating Officer of Onrise. He is an executive and attorney with two+ decades of experience, including with professional sports teams (Philadelphia Union, 76ers and NJ Devils); Partnerize, a private-equity backed SaaS company; Aramark Corporation; and private law practice.
His own mental health journey ignited his passion for mental health, which continued through his work at the Union, one of Onrise’s earliest clients, where he oversaw legal, HR and player safeguarding and welfare, and saw firsthand the immediate value Onrise brings. Carlos graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the University of Virginia. He serves on the Compass Pro Bono Philadelphia board of directors. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, son and black Lab. In his free time, he watches as much soccer as humanly possible.
Dr. Brenda McBride is a dedicated physician with over 20 years of experience championing mental health and nutrition. With a career spanning pediatric oncology to pioneering mental health support for athletes, she combines compassion, innovation, and expertise to promote resilience and holistic wellness. She is passionate about creating impactful solutions for underserved communities. Dr. McBride is a graduate of Temple University and completed her medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She is board certified in pediatrics and nutrition, and has numerous certificates in integrative medicine, mental health and concussion.
Derrick Furlow Jr. is a former collegiate and professional athlete with a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and a Master’s in Sports Psychology, both completed in just four years at the University of Tennessee. As founder of Sport Life Business, he speaks nationwide and has authored several influential books, including *What’s Next? How to Transition Like a Champion, The Transition Playbook, co-authored Athlete to Entrepreneur, and over 11 other ebooks—each designed to support athletes in navigating life transitions. Derrick is also the founder of SLB The Agency, the first NIL-focused mental health sports agency, Chief Athletic Officer & co-founder of Onrise, a pioneering athlete mental health company, and President of XHunger, a nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger in America.
Kevin Orpurt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over three decades of experience in the mental health field. He has seen firsthand how compassionate connection and learning simple skills early can minimize more significant mental health issues and consequences. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master's in Social Work from Tulane University. Kevin brings extensive expertise and a practical approach to his leadership role at Onrise.
Brad Ring is a former High School & Collegiate All-American at Indiana University. He graduated in 3.5 years as a Scholar All-American with a Legal Studies bachelor’s degree. During his 9-year professional soccer career in the MLS and USL, Brad was an advocate for players rights. He was an MLSPA Team Rep, Co-founder of the USL Player’s Association and currently serves as the Grievance Committee member on behalf of the USLPA. After 5 years in non-profit tech as a SaaS leader, Brad joined Onrise as the SVP of Sales. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife & 3 kids where you can find him coaching and cheering on the next generation.
Tasha Saunders is the VP of Operations at Onrise, where she serves as the point person for all customer success and manages every account that purchases Onrise services. She also holds a Master's in the Art of Education and was a strong educator in the Denver Public School System teaching 2nd and 3rd graders. With a background in education and a passion for supporting athletes, Tasha oversees the non-clinical side of our mental health specialists work and works to continually improve the Onrise website. A former varsity soccer player at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tasha brings a team-oriented mindset to her role.
Erin Haskew is the Operations Manager at Onrise, where she’s the first point of contact for new athletes. With a kind and welcoming approach, Erin ensures athletes feel safe and supported as they begin their journey, overcoming stigma and navigating their mental health needs. She handles scheduling, athlete pairings, and works closely with mental health specialists to ensure smooth onboarding. Erin has been with Onrise since 2018, solving problems and making each athlete's experience a positive one. Outside of work, she enjoys University of Tennessee football games, family time at the ballpark, and Taylor Swift concerts.
