Because your student-athletes' health and performance can't wait for budget approval.
Your existing counselors and support staff are doing incredible work – let us amplify their impact. We handle the overflow, crisis situations, and specialized athletic mental health needs.
Nights, weekends, holidays, summer break; we're there when your internal team isn't available. Let us share the responsibility of student-athlete care
during off-hours.
Your general counseling staff may not understand sport-specific pressures. Our clinicians and retired athlete peer supporter staff speak the language of collegiate athletics.
Instead of waiting months to hire, interview, and onboard new staff, you have a full, diverse, experienced mental health team ready to implement.
"To all my peers in the collegiate space you don’t have to wait for the tragedy to occur before taking action. Lead through change and invest in supportive services because at the end of the day saving 1 life is worth all the cost. To the people at Onrise who do this work, thank you! Thank you for giving collegiate athletic departments a resource to share in the responsibility of caring for the student-athletes across all forms of health."
Onrise is designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing systems. We don’t replace your campus services—we enhance them. Whether you need a full-service mental health solution or additional support for peak times, breaks, or specialized care, we align with your team to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
We meet with your internal staff to understand existing workflows and needs. From there, we create a customized care plan and communication protocol, including triage, referrals, crisis pathways, and regular touch points. Our team can also train your staff in Mental Health First Aid, provide department protocols, and contribute to educational programming throughout the year.
Each session is private and tailored to the athlete’s needs. Depending on the level of support needed, they may be working with: A licensed therapist, a psychiatrist to explore medication options (if needed) or peer who is a retired athlete trained to support and relate from lived experience. Sessions may include discussion, skill-building, reflection, and tools athletes can implement right away. Everything is guided by clinical best practices, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive support.
Yes! Our telehealth, peer support level of care allows athletes to access care anytime, anywhere. That includes breaks, travel, and even international locations.
