Who are modern heroes?

Society puts today’s athletes on a pedestal, and for good reason. They inspire us. They teach us life lessons. They bring communities, families and relationships together. They give us hope when we need it most. Practically, our economy depends on them. And it’s not just pros either—youth sports alone is a $40 billion industry (and growing).

We at Onrise believe that the world doesn’t just admire elite athletes. The world needs them. They’re more than competitors or entertainers; they’re role models. They’re modern day heroes.

They’re also real people with real needs. We hear what they go through - not just the stuff of heroes, but also all the stress on the field, and how that amplifies all the challenges off of it.

We also recognize there are others who can relate to intense pressure to perform: members of the military, firefighters, police officers, doctors, emergency workers, frontline workers, utility workers and more.
